I have a great group of friends now. My friends now are always there for me.. They make sure I'm always happy, they have my back, they help me when I don't know what to do, and they always check on me. My one friend and I have been friends since we were 4. We are neighbors and we love hanging out and making memories together. I told you that because our friendship is a healthy relationship. we always make sure our friendship goes both ways: we do things for each other and are always honest with each other. We built a lifelong friendship and that goes with my other friends in the pictures down below. Now, It hasn't always been like that...
I would like to tell you a story about friendships. I was best friends with this one girl in the 7th grade, we would always hang out and play sports with each other. My family and I took her on vacation with us. As soon as we got back, she started acting differently towards me such as; calling me names, making up rumors about me, not talking to me, and hanging out with the girls that were already mean to me.
Through your high school experience, you will have friendships that will last and other friendships that won't work out. Not everyone is going to like you and that’s okay.

How to break apart from a toxic friend:
Everyone has had a toxic friend, but have you ever distanced yourself from them? For me, I would casually confront them about how they are treating me and just question why. It's important to try and figure out the root issue before assuming they have ill intentions. You never want to put the blame on someone until you know the full story. Anyways, if the issue is something that they do not wish to mutually resolve, then I would keep my distance from them. I wouldn't completely ignore them, instead, I recommend still being kind and generally considerate. It's best to be the better person in these scenarios. I know this is hard to do. Do you think you could do this to one of your close friends?
This is really helpful. It's hard to break away from some friends, but these tips are super considerate. I did have a friend that wasn't the best for me, and I had to distance myself. Now, I'm much happier!
